Bali’s Adventure Series: Nusa Islands Guide, Part 1
What are those three baby islands located on Bali’s east coast? These are The Nusa’s. A tropical trio only 30 minutes away from Sanur or Klungkung Regency. In here life is all about enjoying nature and relaxing. If you are willing to get away from the hustle bustle touristy area and live the real island life, you will definitely find your serene haven there.
Here are some of the best spots to explore
1. Kelingking “T-Rex” Beach, Nusa Penida
Kelingking means “pinkie or small finger”. This place has become a very Instagram famous spot with its unique coastal cliff shape. For a long time, the beach down the cliff was unreachable. The locals then created a path and built stairs to access this part at the edge of the island. However, the most breathtaking part remains the view from the top over the crystal-clear water slowly crashing down in slow motion. It is hard to find such an amazing landscape in Bali area!
2. Broken Beach, Nusa Penida
This place is called broken beach due to the archway that wraps around the bay. The massive whole allows water to flow in and out from the beach creating a magical scenery. This is one of place that awes us with its beautiful nature. Let the drones out!
3. Angel Billabong, Nusa Penida
Natural pools it is. The crystal-clear tide created a huge natural pool in the middle of the rocks. Get ready to be amazed at by the pattern and textures beneath the surface. All you need to do is taking a dip and laying horizontal in the water while enjoying the fresh water. Dream-full, chlorine-free.
4. Dream Beach on Nusa Lembongan
A very dreamy beach postal-card material with the cute little cove of white sand and… crystal clear water always. This is the perfect spot for swimming and hangs out with friends for a day! What else do you need?
5. Devil Tears on Nusa Lembongan
Next to Dream Beach, you will find a rocky outcrop. This outcrop sucks the water in before it explodes out and creates the tears of the devil. It also creates a rainbow on many occasions, depending on sun rays. It is definitely one of the best places to enjoy an epic sunset!
